Turn Their Heads started the way many great things do — with a group of friends brought together by dancing. We met through country dancing, bonded over a shared love for it, and discovered how much we enjoyed helping others experience it too.

After spending years teaching thousands of Nashville visitors and locals how to Line Dance, Country Swing, and Two Step, something became clear: when you teach hundreds of people every weekend, you learn how to teach quickly, effectively, and in a way that’s actually fun. People kept telling us how easy it felt — and then started asking us to teach outside of the honky tonks. That’s when Turn Their Heads became official.

Our philosophy is simple: doing it matters more than doing it perfectly. That mindset creates a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere where learning feels natural, pressure-free, and fun. You’ll be up and dancing within minutes — not stuck overthinking steps.

We teach popular, real-world dances you’ll actually use — Line Dances, Country Swing, and Two Step you can take straight to Nashville’s honky-tonks, weddings, social events, or even your own kitchen. Our goal isn’t just to teach you today, but to give you dances you’ll remember and enjoy again and again.

Studio lessons take place at our 4,500-square-foot country dance academy, the first in Nashville and the largest in the country, located just 8 minutes from Broadway. Our space includes three studios, a lounge and waiting area, and a kitchenette for BYOB or snacks. Prefer that we come to you? Our instructors are happy to bring the experience to your Airbnb, hotel, conference, or convention.
